In exchange for a seat on your bus, Woongooroo Estate can provide a tour guide and delight your group highlighting points of interest and historical knowledge about the town of Kilcoy and its surrounding district.

How many times do you drive through a country town and comment on how attractive and quaint it looks? Well Kilcoy is a pretty little town – one locals are very proud of.

The tour takes you behind the shop facades into the ‘back’ streets for an experience that will show you what a great little town it is, steeped in colourful history.

Your group can incorporate this town and country tour of Kilcoy on your bus trip to the Estate.

You can have your own morning tea at Yowie Park, and then do the tour before you come to Woongooroo Estate. Or, you can come to the Estate first for morning tea and then do the town and country tour before coming back to the Estate for a delicious lunch and various afternoon activities.

The Kilcoy Art Society Inc. is a group of keen artists who have been in the Kilcoy district and painting for varying numbers of years.

Members and friends partake in numerous community and group activities and workshops where art is involved.

Skills vary with new talent, ideas and techniques constantly being explored.

The Society in at present in the process of re-establishing its Kilcoy Courthouse Gallery into Yowie Park in Hope Street, where it will soon be fully operational and house many exhibits created by its members.

Touring the Kilcoy RSL Club Room and Museum, for their collection of military memorabilia, is a must to experience.

See the Leopard Tank and experience great hospitality.

Kilcoy Cultural Centre | FREE entry

Formerly the Kilcoy Memorial Hall, the Kilcoy Cultural Centre display the wonderful historical photos and documents in their hall foyer.

On the wall is also a wonderful display of the various timbers that were once logged and milled around the Kilcoy District in years gone by.

Kilcoy’s Hall of History | FREE entry

Located on the west end of Yowie Park, the Kilcoy Hall of History houses early records, publications, artifacts and photos of Kilcoy’s history.

This building used to be the Union Church moved in to Kilcoy from the district of Hazeldean.

They have wonderful historical publications available for purchase.

After a beautiful drive past Somerset Dam and Lake Wivenhoe you will find Mount England Estate. Say hi to Craig and Daryl! 🙂

It’s at Ocean View Estates Winery and Restaurant that you can say hi to Thomas and Kate. Situated in the rolling hills of the Mt Mee area with a beautiful al-a-cart restaurant it overlooks a lake and vines. Stay for a meal, or just a coffee, but don’t miss their hand-made chocolate truffles. A flavour for everyone. You might want to stay the night here in one of their beautiful vineyard cottages to complete your journey.

At Winya Wines you’ll be greeted by Snow & Sue. Located on Sandy Creek Road they’re surrounded not only by the vines, but their paddock of Angus Beef in beautiful condition are a real feature. Grab some of their select cuts to take home with you — goes superbly with their Shiraz!
